(35) GPS - are the safe for drivers ?

Many years ago, in Penang, there was this very large 'robot' neon light from
TIMEX Watch which is the landmark for the roundabout at Penang Road and Dato
Keramat Road. The hand of the robot will make a salute to you as you approaches.

Later, it was removed because the city council claimed that it was a cause of
many accidents because it caused distractions to the drivers with the
'movement'.

Now you can see giant TV set in the middle of the road. Don't they causes
accidents anymore?


Handphones are now banned while you are driving without a handfree kit. How about a GPS? Don't they distract the drivers too?
