The National Inventor Award is the most prestigious award presented to the best inventor for the year. It was introduced in 1993 by the Ministry of Science, Technology & Environment.
Candidates are nominated by their associations, institutions or companies. They are then short-listed and appear before a panel of jury from various agencies who will decide the winners.
